The Trubus AgroEdutainment store in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java has just arrived from 65 countries from Southeast Asia, from Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, including Indonesia on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
They are a group of farmers brought by Bina Desa and The Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Asia (Asia-DHRRA).
Initially this farmer group was visiting Bina Swadaya to study social business perspective from Bambang Ismawan. After the visit, they walked together from Wisma Hijau to Trubus Shop which is about 300 meters away.
Seeing the Trubus Shop full of plants, these farmers’ groups were both astonished and enthusiastic. They always touch every plant there, take pictures, even they also do not forget to spend some items as souvenirs.
Yustina Erna Widyastuti as the Director of Trubus Mitra Swadaya conveyed, “Farmers of Cambodia and Laos had been inspired by Trubus Shop. They want to make a similar place Trubus Shop in their respective countries “.
During this time, Southeast Asian farmers’ groups generally rely on agricultural systems run in Thailand. They did not realize that Indonesia also turned out to have a cool farm shop like Trubus AgroEdutainment Store.
“I really like Trubus Shop, because it not only sells crops, but also complete with farming tools to the fertilizer,” said Boonma Phoumin, a participant from Laos to Trubus.id.
Afdhal from the Farmers Community of Agam Regency in West Sumatra is also keen to discuss his idea of making a plant shop like Trubus. That’s because he never found a farm shop that sold all the equipment, ranging from seeds of agriculture, fertilizer, to other supporting tools.
Yustina also expressed his wishes, “Hopefully this visit not only inspire, but also helped to advance the Trubus Shop to be even better. There are also participants who want to invite the Trubus Shop when the country holds an agricultural event “. [WO / DF]
