President Jokowi gave directions in the ATR / BPN rakernas event in 2018, at Puri Agung Convention Hall, Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/1).
President Joko Widodo asserted that the ranks of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) / National Land Agency (BPN) must have the same vision and spirit that the people should be able to land.
“I ask the agrarian reform program and the redistribution of this land to be our record and attention. I ask that in 2018 the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial / National Land Agency prepares a redistribution of land targeting the Right to Use (HGU) land, “said President Joko at the opening of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Land Spatial Planning National Year 2018, at Puri Agung Convention Hall, Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/1).
The targeted land, continued the President, is the land where the HGU has expired and no extension has been filed, so it is designated as abandoned land and can be used as a state reserve land.
“Land of state reserves can be redistributed to groups of Indonesian people who still have difficulty in owning land,” said President Jokowi.
The President asserted that the redistribution of assets is not a land-sharing program. This program is aimed at improving the welfare of the lower society so that it can overcome poverty and reduce economic disparities.
“The redistribution of this land must be integrated with the program of economic strengthening so that the land becomes productive, both connected with KUR loan program, Ministry of Agriculture program, Ministry of UMKM program, connected with SOEs. If this is done, I am sure will lower our gini ratio, “said the President.
The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and the National Land Office / Planning Agency were also reminded of the support of national strategic projects, particularly the acceleration of infrastructure projects.
“We want to catch up with the construction of toll roads, ports, airports, and land for power generation. Acceleration of this infrastructure development we do to reduce the cost of logistics distribution and improve the competitiveness of our national economy, “said the President.
The President advised the entire ranks of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial / National Land Agency to get out of the linear and monotonous mindset.
“This is the change we have to make so we can catch up with other countries,” said the President.
National Working Meeting of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial / National Land Agency 2018 was attended by around 900 people from the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial / National Land Agency.
Accompanying the President in the event was the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and the National Land Office / Land Agency Sofyan Djalil and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
